                                      Kappa Sigma Weight Room

Kappa Sigma Mom's Club donated $5,000 for a new weight room for the fraternity house.  Mom's CLub raised the money at the annual Mom's Day Dinner and Auction.

Mike Burcham with the University of Arkansas Police Department spoke with brothers about alcohol awareness and current state and local laws.  The presentation was part of the fraternity educational series.

President Robert Wells displays his going away cake after serving in Xi Chapters top role for a year.  Robert served as the chapter's Head Rush chairman and Grand Master of Ceremonies before being elected President.  Treasurer Cody Kees was elected to the Presidency and will assume office November 26, 2007.



 


Kappa Sigma Celebrates Homecoming!

Brothers of the 2007 Kappa Sigma Step Show show off their prize trophy.  Step Show members were, left to right, Justin Harris, Chase Grounds, Eric Williams, Ryan Belcher, Kevin Turner, Aaron Heffington, Robert Saviers, Logan Grant, Jackson Smith, Paul Lovelady, Colton Churchill, and Greg Myers.  Step Show is a 14 year tradtiion at the university and is sponsored by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.  Each team that places receives points toward the homecoming standings and is awarded money toward the philanthropy of their choice.  Kappa Sigma choice to give their $250.00 reward to the Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency.

Grant Killion, President of Greek Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol, prepares the Kappa Sigma entry for Mocktails.  Mocktails is the alcohol free version of cocktails and was feature in the Kappa Sigma Alcohol Awareness Week



 

Kirsten Blowers-Kappa Sigma Sweatheart

Kirsten Blowers, a junior from Fayetteville, Arkansas was elected Kappa Sigma Sweetheart for the 2007-2008 school year.  Kirsten is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority where she is very involved with multiple activities of the chapter.  Kirsten is an interior design major in the Bumpers College and is a member of several organizations in the Bumpers College.  Kirsten is a regular at all Kappa Sigma events and is loved by all who know her!  Congratulations Kappa Sigma Sweetheart Kirsten Blowers!

Kappa Sigma National Fraternity gets a new home!

 
The national fraternity of Kappa Sigma got a new home this past summer in Charlottesville, VA.  Brothers Cody Kees and Ryan Belcher attended the Grand Opening  Ceremony.  Xi has given to the campaign to finance the new headquarters for years and we plan to continue are support.
